What I want to know is what a—hole designed the fan blade/ clutch setup found on most late model cars? What was wrong with the old design, a flange pressed on to the water pump shaft, either cross shaped or circular with four threaded holes? It was around for years even after they started putting fan clutches on. Now the fan clutch assembly is threaded onto the pump shaft and you need a pin tool to keep the pulley from turning to take it apart. Crap!
