Mom took me to the scout camp just outside of town to throw her 5 spd V6 Ranger into a slide as well as learning to control it with the throttle and correct it. It was a snow covered parking lot so it was a lot of fun as well as teaching me how to maneuver a car in less than perfect conditions. Always better to break the right! There is no place in any US vehicle made in this century for a monolith on the left side! The foot rest, dead pedal or wheel well all protrude into the drivers foot space. The right side anchor can be hoisted into the center or passenger compartment and the vehicle driven with the left. Actually, the red tie-down strap seen in the photos goes around the rear frame section of the bike, mostly just to hold the machine upright. The rollers are to keep the front wheel on the belt, and the fans direct cooling air across the engine and exhaust.  These were heavy duty devices and could accommodate a Honda CB750, although the concept was as described in the article; to help prospective riders learn how to manipulate the clutch gearshift and brakes in a controlled environment. ... Interesting article...  As someone who has several older cars, a 67, 87, 89 and 2005...  In my "barn" technically it is a large garage, I have a CO monitor as I have to drive my cars in and out of my garage, sometimes I have to let them run to diagnose something.    With the 67, With the Large Garage doors open, just starting and letting the car sit for what seems less than 60 seconds I notice that the CO will slowly inch up on the built in digital gauge.    However I never see it move with my 87, 89, and especially not my 2016 which you can barely even know it was running based on smell...  New cars are really very good for emissions in comparison to what they were 50 years ago. ... Well iv been a auto technician  for over 35 yrs and i worked on the 240z and 20z the 280z and ZX models for many many years . My family owned a Auto shop called Z-World located in Redondo Beach California and we seen so many Z car's and owners that love these cars and i to am one that likes the older model but this new concept is a good look. But there missing the option of a rear wing for this vehicle which i think will really make it stand out . If they did such a thing it will put them in the class of being a competitor with the Porsche erra too i believe besides the the Nissan GTR twin turbo 1000hp vehicle. This Z looks like it could be added into that catagory and should be too.  Its got everything the GTR does so why not ? Just add the wing a fixed one or even one that goes under the speed were it comes out by speed like the Porsche and then ill guarantee this car will become one of the top 5 cars out there today!!! I've still have my 1977 Suzuki GS750B, which I bought new. I haven't ridden it since 1995 when the CA-DMV lost the insurance certificate so I never received my tags. Anyway, it was about time that I put it away for awhile. There wasn't a week which had gone by that I didn't break 100 mph.  A little history about the model. Although there wasn't an actual "A" model, the early editions had different carbs and possibly cams, so they couldn't keep up with me. My bike was about equal to the Kawasaki KZ-1000. In 1978, the new GS750 was noticeably slower and even the GS850 was slower than my bike. Probably with the introduction of the GS1100, it had to be the fastest bike at the time and they didn't want to show it up by a lesser bike. ... View more
