I think if you have a car that was bought at a very low price point and the car is selling very high even in a soft market. Then for sure do the restoration and try to use as much original parts as possible and I am of the opinon not to modify the car beyond factory specs unless it is done for a safety reasons or to save an engine. For example I know many of the Pantara's had a bad design with their radiators. Many restorations are done because the car brings an emotional value to the owner such as the car has been in the family for a great number of years. As long as you know up front the restoration could cost a great deal of money but at the end of the day will this restoration bring you and your family pleasure and happiness then I say go do it. ... Well I have a C8 and......no I don't but lots of guys write that. No one here...yet. Good technical interpretation and entertaining. Clear to me the mano-a-mano competition was not only behind the wheel, it was at the keyboard. "Brain eating fun" WT? Had a MT on a 2007 911 turbo, there was zero time between jumping off the line and grabbing for second gear. I have a pdk on my 2017 turbo. It’s a moot point for me because I can no longer drive a MT, but the pdk is a better transmission for the car. There’s no way to manually accelerate faster than the pdk. It’s astonishingly intuitive, down shifts appropriately and you can always use the paddles (which I do maybe 5% of the time). ... View more

If Ford really wants to make Bronco customizable, they will release the control firmware and bus interfaces for the Bronco. But don't hold your breath. Fourth and Fifth generation low mileage Mustangs are starting to see main computer failures. Ford doesn't offer replacements for most, but no aftermarket maker can duplicate them without the code, which Ford won't release. Jags and RR's whose computer controls were designed under the same regime are also seeing failures which totally prevent the vehicle from operating. And don't expect the current US administration to force automakers to release code even when automakers no longer offer replacement parts It is happy to see otherwise perfectly good gasoline powered cars scrapped to push the electric car agenda. ...
