I got into my first accident in it at fourteen. Lotta memories of that beast. She finally traded it for a '66 Impala. Now, on to the Karmann Ghia. More than just a fancy VW, it in itself was a successful exercise in style. The practicality and simplicity of a Beetle, but with lines to compete with - dare I say it? - with even Bond's DB-5. When I see them today, I stop to admire them and how well the design has held up for decades - they still look sexy!
