You can never say never with cars of this era. Often things could be done if you knew the right people to push the right paperwork. Even GM did not document every change or move. Same applies to the Firebird. What is interesting is many fail to notice the Sheetmetal on the Firebird was the same less vents or other add on's. The front fenders were interchange able on the 67-68. They did do some suspension tricks and all the early birds were one inch lower. It was a fun era for making cars more to their own vs later on where it was styling alone.
