I admire people who build their own cars. And while the car looks well built I have some questions on the handling. The tire combo and wheels are not what I would recommend to use in setting a lap record at the ring. I work in the performance after market and these wheels and rear tires are for pro street or drag racing and would not be very hood for latter so grip. I wager this is fast in a straight line but if it had to set lap times I suspect i5. Hold be leaving much on the table in handling or lack of suspension tuning for better handling. I would have opted for a Supercharged ZR1 engine for less rear weight too. This car kind of looks like a super car built by a drag racer. I recall a guy who pushed in a car to where I worked with a carb issue. It looked like a Bradly GT as that was the body. He opened the back and was a full tube chassis car with an Olds engine with twin turbochargers. It had a well engineered suspension snd he balanced the chassis with some added weight to the front. It was so light he could afford to balance the car. He really built the chassis and just used the Bradly body to cover it. It was well thought out and well executed. Once again , you've left out the Totota MR2 Spyder . These things are really going up in value , concidering Bring a Trailer results . For some reason these cars never get the respect I think they deserve . I retired from Delphi in 04 , a local tool shop in 2013 . I needed a two seat convertible to run around in and was not going to use my C5 . I figured I'd buy a Miata only to discover this Spyder . I never knew they exisisted before my search . Sounds like stock Ford to me. My E-100 has four bolts in a plate under the rear brake drum. Remove those, and the axle pulls right out. I once changed an outer axle bearing in the parking lot of the parts store/machine shop. It took them longer to press on a new bearing than it took me to pull and re-install the axle. What a great timeline of American values.  Someone purchased the Ford brand new.  The car was passed down the line until it was either too broke to fix, to old to impress others that you have a car, so it possibly was parked out back someplace and ultimately became someone's 'Shootin' Car.' Years later, the car is purchased by 'the ultimate hot rod house' - possibly for parts or something that didn't have a bullet hole in it. Along come Ron, see the car, and speaks two of the four most expensive words in the English language - "What If - - -."  The other two most expensive words are "I do." Nice story. I drove our late 1931 RS Coupe from Ithaca NY to Salt Lake City in 1999 when we retired. Nine days with only a slight leak from gas shut-off valve and a thrown fan belt as the only problems. Added water/anti-freeze each day and changed the oil every 500 miles. Finished the restoration, which included a major engine rebuild, only a week before. Let's put aside the hyperbolic my engine will explode stuff-- it won't in the 987.2, it 99.9% won't in the 987.1, and it 92% won't in the 986-- (the widespread knowledge of this amongst Porsche people and indy repair shops resulting in Mr. Fix it companies coming up with the bore scoring drumbeat)-- the only folks who give a rat's behind about whether a 911 is or is not the only "real" P car are folks no one needs to have a conversation with. There are people out there-- I am one and your nice buyer is another-- who are not troubled by potentially expensive repair costs. A 300HP, give or take, 3000 lb car with superb brakes and a cheerful chassis for $25K? Yummy.    Plenty of folks, like me, have had 911's. Fast(er) yes, more fun, errr no.    I liked my impulse-buy '07 Boxster S so much, I ended up with a Cayman R too, which routinely gets passed by all kinds of high HP cars in DE's.  But I need to point out,   Of all the cars out there, Mustangs, Camaros, some crapped out Honda race car, which green Cayman R got all the love in the paddock, hmmm?
