I would add to the list two of the cars used by Mannix. First is the 1967 Olds Toronado convertible followed by the 1968 Dodge Dart GTS convertible. Both were Barris customs and the Dart was the best, by far. The later Mannix cars (Cuda, Camaro) were much less interesting. Then there is the Sunbeam Tiger with the James Bond gadgets that Maxwell Smart drove in Get Smart. Like with Mannix the later cars used on the show (Karnann Ghia, Opel GT) were less interesting. As a long term F1 fan I remember the only TV coverage we used to get in the US was the Monaco GP, tape delayed on ABC's Wide World of Sports. Since then TV coverage has significantly improved but I do agree with @GianniB that the Sky team leaves much to be desired. Their British bias is almost unbearable. Also while he misses Hobbs, I miss Steve Matchett. As far as the popularity of F1 in the US is concerned, I suspect that last year's title fight has as much to do with it as Drive To Survive. I stopped watching NASCAR when they moved away from stock bodied cars so I can't comment on that series. On the other hand, I have been a Formula 1 fan for more than 25 years and have witnessed many changes to the formula over those years. The root of F1's issues is the reliance (some might say over reliance) on aerodynamically generated downforce. The Drag Reduction System was supposed to improve racing (e.g. more on track passing) and that was enacted well before Netflix arrived on the scene. So I don't but into the theory that the rule changes are the result of the current media landscape.
