I’m on my 2nd Odyssey (2015) and grew up with a Pontiac Trans Sport so I’ve spent a good chunk of my life with a minivan. Nothing beats the versatility or value of one. Hauling the family for vacation and all your gear. Making runs to the dump. Bringing home oversized purchases from Costco or Home Depot. Carrying more than 5 people on those rare occasions or the dog. Plus they get reasonably good mpg. I’d wait for the next gen coming next year. Little bigger and with the 2.7 turbo and 10 spd from the Silverado which is getting boosted to around 400 lb ft when the refreshed full size trucks finally arrive. The 3.6 is a good engine but most reviewers have liked the low down torque that the Ranger has coupled with a 10 spd that is always in the torque band. I’d add a couple of early to mid 2000 Subarus to this list. The Legacy 2.5 Turbo and 1st gen Forester with the same engine.
