Actually, there was a functional "Ram Air" option. And it's easy to convert the non-functional 1970-1975 hoods. The non-functional hoods had the ductwork and slots for the ram air screens but the fiberglass hadn't been cut out of the end of the scoops. 1970-1973 Firebird Formula. I know the hood scoops were the same on the 1974 and 1975 models but the nose changed so they just don't look the same. I fell in love with the 1971 Formula when I was a kid and that's why I have a 1971 Formula 455 now. So yeah, I'm a little biased. 🙂 ... View more
