Ahhh-to restore or Not to restore---that-is the Question- every Old car will increase in value given time-- your say-70s fairmont or G5 Will go up in value The nicer it is the more it will be worth-- when I was 14yrs old I was Given in the late 60s a 57 chev belaire & then was told it wasn't worth fixing up- old junk today Will become valued classics in the future---

I'm Not convinced he was a ""Con Man"-- as you put it-- A dreamer Yes--Con No--It does seem like he was a maverick rather than a team player & I think that was a large part of his problem(S)-- With GM he had access to people to Perfect his ideals & to keep him from putting the cart before the horse--Money was also there to--But at times GM had to say "Slow Down" on his own---he was try to run before learning to Walk--rushing into production Before you have the bugs worked out is Never a great plan, However- without enough financial backing you take crazy chances--(on much smaller scales) won sometimes-Lost other times- I'm not sure Why he chose that power plant but I'm thinking it was because he did'nt have the money for something Better--Perhaps he should have just started on a smaller scale so as to get through the growing pains--

WoW-this sounds like just another Game-- Only Now-without even a Test drive of the actual car your buying- I Do agree that your usually better off having your own financing though-- & of course having a good ideal of the prices - then it's simple--be willing to walk out if the deal doesn't suit you needs/wants, as long as your offer is reasonable- Most of this ""Advice" here (from someone who is in the business of selling cars) is just to convince you your smarter than they are & get you to buy from them- A mind game if you will-

well there are a lot of things about "Old" cars I love (have 3 & newest one is 2007) - Life marches on--Things change-- & they change for good reason-(S)- I think Driving cars will become like riding horses--Just a Hobby-- But not in My lifetime-- Autonomous cars Will make things Safer & electric cars will help fight climate change-- Arguments against Autonomous & electric cars are much like folks arguing against "Horseless Carriages" in the Early 1900s-- or even Electricity in homes back then-- Change can be scary--

Well-we know Gas & diesel have to go because of climate change-Hydrogen takes a lot of energy to produce -So Electrics are the most promising right now--the early 1900s had mostly electrics but not great batteries & most folks didn't have electricity in their homes- that has now changed-
