I have seen many Z/28 Camaro's ruined (in my eyes) with the incorrect application of stripes. For some reason if the stripes are too far apart, too close, don't go over the rear spoiler, aren't rounded at the ends or run too far out on the nose it sticks out like a sore thumb.

The C8 will never be on my wish list because I like sunny afternoon drives with my wife and small dog. It’s not really a problem though because all the Vettes I have owned are used. A C6 Grand Sport however “is” on the wish list.

Lol. The 1990 Heinricy/Morrisson C4 would literally spank the Grady/Thomson Gulf C2 but the C4 expects to sell for $70K while the C2 a couple million. I wonder if this particular L98 C4 was the car Morrisson ran in tandem with the 1990 ZR1 car at Fort Stockton smashing the world 24 hour endurance speed record. If so the stock L98 C4 also set time and distance world records that day setting five FIA Class A records including a six hour run of 170.885 miles per hour. Interestingly the ZR1 that had run in excess of 175 miles per hour for 24 hours had the throttle stop unscrewed for two victory laps and ran those two laps at 190 miles per hour plus.

1970 to 73 Corvette and Camaro don’t seem to be underpowered or under appreciated. For me the 1973 Camaro Z/28 is the holy grail of Z/28 because I could get one with air conditioning.

For me it would be the 1967 Goodwood Green big block Corvette parked next to the 1968 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible L89. In my opinion the mid year Vettes are the most beautiful modern cars GM ever built.

The $1.76 Million Rondine Concept is odd for me. Pininfarina made the car look like a Studebaker. For me having a design studio do their work on a C2 is similar to past attempts at massaging body lines on a E-Type. I'm not sure it can be done.

Our 2017 Equinox might, after 40 years, be our last GM. Inexplicably GM decided to downsize the perfectly sized Equinox and build larger vehicles like Blazer and the aforementioned Traverse. We don't need smaller and we don't need bigger and the only properly sized offerings from GM puts us in the premium vehicle segments of Buick and Cadillac. Why does Chevy do these things?

The article speaks of 92 to 96 Vettes which don't have the instrument cluster you mention. Almost nothing remained the same on C4 over the model run even the hood which at the time was the largest SMC panel ever made had four designs. As a matter of fact if one compares part numbers from a 1984 C4 with a 1996 C4 there is very little that remained the same. It's hard to imagine how GM could afford the engineering and production changes.

I agree with most of the comments here that E-type styling isn't to be messed with but disagree with the suggestion that the roadster possesses the best of the E-type styling cues. I am sure there is a automotive example where a roadster is better looking than a coupe (C8 Corvette might be that car for some) but I can't think of one.
