If you've got a failed original DJ, It's very likely repairable with some patience. After resurrecting countless starter solenoids because they're expensive (to me) I've taken to fixing switches of all types just because I can. Carefully remove the rivets, separate the housing in a confined area to contain any springs, clean the muck off the contacts, burnish them with an eraser and reassemble with appropriate hardware. Voila! Think kindly of me while enjoying fully functioning switch!
