That's easy...my whole Rover Rescue series. We heard about three 80s/90s Range Rover Classics that'd been sitting in a field for over a decade. They were purchased sight unseen. We went and checked them out, had them towed to the shop, and had TWO running that evening! They're still going strong. I've made many videos:
The first two are that first day. But there are many others once they're running. Trips to the Outer Banks, off-roading adventures at the Mid-Atlantic Rally, and more! Definitely worth checking out, and absolutely why I love watching Tom and BFH due to my own experiences!!

I had mentioned this guy to Tom a couple of years ago but he didn't follow up on it. I have a friend who has close to 100 collector cars, mostly older US cars, but some Euro cars as well, in three separate locations within a 10 mile radius near Winchester, Virginia. I attach some photos as just one of the buildings. Our mutual friend, Brad Philips of Hagerty, has met this guy and has been to his residence and seen some of his cars, however, he has more cars at two remote warehouses. I was called about a junk car , thinking it was a wrong number as I do auto repairs. The little old lady said your cousin said you might be interested . I made arrangements to look at it that following Sunday .all the info I had was it was a 70s corvette left outside since 1999 .That sunday we took a ride to look at it not expecting much more then a parts car . Upon arrival the car was covered in moss buried up to the frame in dirt .just then an older gentleman came out and started to tell me how he had purchased the car in 1979 and drove it for 6 months returning to the dealership unimpressed by the performance and purchased an ls7 crate motor which along with a turbo 700 and offenhauser accessories were still on the car.. now my interest is perked . The couple wanted nothing for the vehicle as no one in the family had any interest in it .Needless to say I offered to pay them they just wanted the yard back.We proceeded to get it back to the shop pressure washed it , drained fluids , filled the cylinders with mystery oil . Let it sit for 2 days after refilling all new fluids . Motor turned free. Rebuilt the carb and a new battery she fired right off and ran great . This was in April of 2020 and it’s been a labor of love but she will be painted on Tuesday and put back together
Ever since I could walk I've been into automobiles and aircraft, I would wander around trying to spot the rusty relics lying around in India and after coming across The Barn Find Hunter series, I have been religiously going around documenting these vehicles. They mostly consist of American, Australian and other European market imports into India pre 1975, and are abandoned and neglected in some obscure locations. This interesting mix of Western Iron in a far eastern asiatic country does create some thoroughly intersting photo opportunities and these vehicles have lived some of the most adventurous lives in a place where spare parts are non existent.

I never met a old hotrod I didn’t want to try to save some of ours are rough like one of my 70s I bought it from next to a trash can for $100 off but I have never found one that I consider to far gone to save love what you guys do love the hobby could make a few other interesting cars appear if you are interested
Here’s my 1980 VW Rabbit pickup truck, which I bought for $400 in 1992, with the intention of replacing the blown engine and shedding the yellow paint job in favor of a basic black to match my 1983 Rabbit GTI (which I still own and drive, 33 years later). Aside from amassing a bunch of parts, including a 16-valve engine and transmission from a Golf GTI, I never got farther than stripping most of the paint and (Like an idiot) letting the surface flash rust. I’ve always wanted to get this project going, but either a lack of money or a lack of time have always stopped me from getting too far. At this point, a good push to get this project off the ground again is what I need.
Maybe 10 months ago, I emailed the same message twice in a row, so it would be noticed along with a request to email me back for more info.
There's a huge warehouse in NY full of C2 Corvettes, mostly 427s, a bunch of C1s, exotic Italian cars from 60's and 70's muscle cars, Mercedes, Jags etc etc- hundreds.
Undoubtedly the ultimate find.

Love your episodes! Here's my "barn find" 1937 Plymouth P4 Business Coupe! An absolute time capsule, never restored yet everything works and drives. Only 64,000 original miles with the engine never taken apart. I mean everything is original, including the interior, paint and even has the original keys. It sat in a garage for over 40 years up on blocks. You gotta see the 84 year old layers of grease and oil on the engine and zerk fittings. Come and check it out! I Love Barn Find Hunter! Please Check out My YouTube Channel "Country Boy Gas Garage "! I have several barn finds and cool old cars with stories behind them. Like my 70 Nova i bought when I was 16 and still drive today, 30 years later! I think you guys would love the 1948 Ford F5 Church bus that I found abandoned in the forest for 25 years! It belonged to a 125 year old church that's still in operation today. I'm attempting to rescue it now. I recently got the motor running which is the 1957 Ford Y block. Next I got to fix the hydraulic clutch set up. After that it should be ready to drive out of the forest and back to the shop!

I've been a long time fan of BFH so I always kept my eyes open for those hidden gems. Mine started during a quick gloss through my local CL ad. After a few weeks going back an forth on price, and being the only person to actually show up to look at the car, I found myself dragging home a 1963 Buick Electra 225 4 door hardtop with the legendary 401 Nailhead topped with the Wildcat 445 carb.
As Tom would say, These cars are as valuable as the stories behind them. This Buick turns out to be a one-family-owned survivor with just over 67k miles. The cars original purchaser died suddenly after its purchase and was inherited to his brother. The Buick was well maintained and lightly driven on short family trips and weekend adventures. The vehicle was taken off the road in 1980 soon after he died ultimately being left to his son. The vehicle found its home to no less than 3 barns during its hibernation, only seeing a few upkeep tinkering here and there.
This is where I enter its story. A backyard barn along side a sub shop at the end of an ally, in the middle of a small city in Upstate New York. It has called this dusty barn its home for 15 years with the smell as proof. As the pandemic started to take hold, I found myself laid off with a new project in hand with little funds. Within the first weekend I had it running and driving and soon after, going on cruse nights and ice-cream runs. Currently I'm back to work and amassing
much needed parts to further our adventure together.

Aloha. In Hawaii, there are some excellent candidates these are some I've found recently. I sent an email to the show at the tips email account.
We have a strong car culture on the islands from 30s-40s vintage, 60s-70s muscle, today's imports. Also, huge car clubs from the Vdubs, Classics, vintage, lowered, lifted, Toyota, WRXs, etc.
There are many older restorations that have damage or deteriorating bodywork that might be perfect for that family project or restomods that are so popular today. It would great if Tom Cotter could come to Hawaii for an episode. Remember the Brady bunch.... lol.

Well, my Name is Jimmy, I'm a YouTuber with Autism and this is my 1955 Plymouth Savoy V8 with a 3 on the Tree Manual Transmission. I found the Car on Craigslist and Bought it in August for $5500 from a Man in his 70's and she was definitely a Barn Find, in fact, she was Parked for so long that she has less than 60,000 Original Documented Miles AND I even have the Original Receipt from when the Car was Purchased New in 1955!!! She has some Rust Problems though, I had to actually Redo basically the ENTIRE Floorboard myself, because the Floor was practically Swiss Cheese and the Tires are over 11 Years Old with SERIOUS Dry Rot, but they hold Air just fine and have plenty of Tread, so I Drove her Home after Purchasing her. I of course Called Hagerty first and got her Insured, LOL!!! Other than Repairing the Floorboard, I have only really Recovered the Front Seat Bottom, Changed the Oil, Cleaned things up a bit and just done some Basic Maintenance stuff really, OH AND I got a New 6 Volt Battery from O'Reilly's from my Friend Tony. I also Own one of the Original 1982 Knight Rider KITT Firebird Trans Ams, hence my Online Name, LOL. KITT is still in his Original Shiney Black Paint, with his Original Tan PMD Interior, Turbocast Aluminum Wheels and Bowling Ball Hubcaps, Fiberglass Nose with Halogen Scanner and everything. Unfortunately though, KITT is up on Jack Stands now, because he needs an Engine and Transmission Swap and nobody will Help me with doing it, so, yeah... The ONLY other Guy in my Area with a KITT, is a Guy Named Joe Huth, from Butler, who is one of the Knight Rider Historians. Because I have Autism Spectrum Disorder, people in the Knight Rider Community HATE me and call me Names and say that I have absolutely no right whatsoever to Own KITT, so, yeah, I don't know what to do, because I need Help with KITT and well, I just want some Friends. My Neighbors don't like me either, they think that I am Weird and Eccentric and Complain about my Cars and stuff. They are Teaching their kids that my Autism makes me a Freak. That's why even though I am on Disability, that's why I Bought the Plymouth Savoy, because I just needed another Project, something to keep my mind off things. I am not Married and don't have Kids of my own or a Family anymore, I just have my Cars. I have numerous Health Problems as well, but my Autism is why people don't like or understand me. Hello! Most of what I come across in Montana are "field finds" haha. This 1979 Bronco was found amidst a pile of other treasures. We rescued it and it is currently undergoing a restoration!
Barn finds or in my case backyard finds
It was 1987 and my wife had just stole my Nissan pickup for her everyday driver. This left me with a very nice car to drive my 1983 Z28 L69. But a car to drive and a pickup
was not quit the same thing. I was always working around the house or going to Home Depot to pick something up and my Z just didn’t fit the bill for that.
I was sort of looking around for a old pickup that I could fix up and bit and fill in this
Well my wife told me that a friend of hers had a old pickup sitting in her back yard that
had been there for several years. Well the sort of perked up my interest. So one afternoon after she got home from work we went to take a look. What I found was a 1958 Apache fleet side short bed. Which I hadn’t seen any of them around in the last several years. 1958 was the first year for the steel fleet side bed and there were a few long beds around but not many short beds. In 1955 Chevrolet came out with a fiberglass fleet side pickup that became a classic in a short amount of time. (the Camaro) Well Chevrolet decided to produce a steel fleet side pickup and this one that I was looking at, was one of these first steel bed fleet side pickups. Well as I sort of checked it out all the tires were flat the front windshield was broken out and the rear window was also broken out and the whole bed was rotted out and full of aluminum cans after looking a little closer the quarter panels were all rusted at the bottom with some holes showing through and the owner said it hadn’t run in several years. I asked how much he wanted for the pickup and he said 500 dollars. I had to have it, so I paid him the five hundred and told him I would pick it up in a couple days.
A couple days passed and I still was not sure how I was going to get it home. I had a portable canister that I could fill with air to see if the tires would hold air and a heavy duty chain about 15 foot long. My wife and I went back to her friend house and I filled
The tires up and they seemed to hold air. I hooked the chain up to the Nissan and the old pickup seemed to pull alright. We were about 20 miles from home but we new the area pretty well. My wife was driving the Nissan and I was steering the old Chevy. Every time we went around a corner the old truck would pull the Nissan sideways and I used the old truck brakes to stop us and keep tension on the chain. About a hour later we were home and very much happy to be there and sort of surprised we made it.
Well the next few days, all my spare time went into trying to get the old truck running. I changed the oil and sparkplugs and plug wires pulled the carb and cleaned it up and then it was time to see what I had gotten into. I got a can of starting fluid and put fresh gas in the tank and turned it over. To my surprise the engine started and didn’t sound to bad. I let it run for a while and then hit the street, surprise surprise it ran pretty good. I cleaned it up and put new tires and wheels on it changed the transmission oil and rear end oil and from that moment on it became my work truck. That’s not the end of the story, I drove it a couple years to work everyday it was very dependable. Well it had a three speed on the column and it finally died I went looking in salvage yards and found a 4 speed transmission out of a Camaro jacked the old truck up and the transmission fit right in. I purchased a Hurst floor shifter and I was on the road again. The old 235 six ran pretty good with the four speed transmission and it was fun to drive. As time went on the 235 six finally gave up and I replaced it with a 305 cubic inch engine out of another Camaro.
The combination worked out great. Over the next 34 years I did body work and repainted three times and added shocks and seats radios and a lot of creature comforts and at this writing I still have it along with a few others and enjoy car shows and weekend rides every once in a while. My backyard find that has given me a lot of good times. Larry 3
