The tradition continues on with Hagerty Dawn Patrol! We'll miss seeing you in person this year for coffee and donuts in Monterey, CA but that won't stop us from celebrating the joy of driving the cars we love. And earning a coveted hat in the process.

This view is overlooking the Maple Lake Mill pond and LaCantina Ristorante which has been there since 1936 (the restaurant). 1970 Chevelle is very similar to the car I had in college. My morning drive commenced at 6:30 am this morning.
Good Morning, and thank you for inspiring me to get out and drive before the sun was up! Normally that is my mundane drive to work time.
First stop was before 6:00 AM at my Neighbors house for a photo of two polar extremes of cars covered by Hagerty.
Next stop 6:03 AM and sunrise on the beach because Lake Life.
I figured that the local Golf Course was the appropriate place to drive to next, sadly I could not get onto the lawn here.
Next it was off to Topsmead State Forest in Litchfield CT, where I couldn't get a photo but I had a lovely walk. Then my navigator photographer got hungry so we stopped at a local place for pastry and a drink.
Another short walk was provided by The White Memorial Foundation, another beautiful property in Litchfield County Connecticut followed by a drive through teh little town of Bethlehem CT and home.
The road was calling and I thought to myself, "The road is calling I must drive" Thank you Hagerty for the excuse to drive and for getting me out there with my little navigator.

fortunately no rain. And a great excuse to go out for donuts and coffee. Hopefully next year we'll actually be able to see the sun rise.
