The tradition continues on with Hagerty Dawn Patrol! We'll miss seeing you in person this year for coffee and donuts in Monterey, CA but that won't stop us from celebrating the joy of driving the cars we love. And earning a coveted hat in the process.
Set your alarm for Sunday, 16 August 2020 and take a drive between 6-9 a.m.
Whether this is your 7th hat or your first, with this time honored tradition you'll join the ranks of a magical club of car lovers - and hey, you can always nap later!

Here we are in Daytona Beach Fl. getting ready to drive to the local swapmeet.
It's a beautiful day and not to hot yet so we are taking the 28 Model A roadster for a run.
Hopefully we will get back before the thunder showers in the afternoon.

Early morning drives in the Arizona summers are the only way to go! Up at 4:00 am, started my drive at 5:00 am - destination, Fountain Hills AZ, about a 20 mile one way trip. This morning's temperature was a nice balmy 86 degrees but by the time I had turned my car around to head home, the temperature had reached a warm, 106 degrees. Great drive good times! Now it is time to cool off and relax.
Oh my it seems to have deleted my earlier message. I am happy to join a drive at dawn but allowing it to take place before 10 AM seems a little soft, doesn’t it I might try to do it before eight!
Since Pebble Beach has been cancelled this year, I will neither be judging there or enjoying the fine coffee of the Dawn Patrol. I will however be out at dawn on the 16th in my trusty 1957 Alfa Romeo Spider ushering in the new day, with photo to follow.
Sounds like a dream come true.
All my shows here have been canceled but it has given me a summer of just good old driving for fun.
I have always had a goal to be invited to Pebble Beach one day with a car and this may be as close as I will ever get, I would wear the hat with pride!
I'll be there. 92 XJS Convertible... Top down in the morning when it's cool. Top up with A/C running when the 90 degree heat hits. This was already a planned Sunday drive with the wife and now it's an event with everybody!!
Well, the weather forecast for southern Rhode Island is not looking anything like the Monterey Peninsula, but we will be out there with y'all - rain or shine. Can't wait ! !
I'll be there.
My 1976 MGB Roadster had a complete mechanical restoration this spring and the fun thing is: I get to drive a slow car fast. It's more fun than driving a fast car slow.
