Perhaps not quite as accurate, but I keep a bookcase garage with models of my Lotus plus a spare model Europa chassis. the colours aren't quite right on 2 cars but I don't have the ambition to undertake a 1:18 respray project.
I used to do 1:18th resprays, but they never came out that great. I'd need to take painting more seriously (or get a paint shop to paint it for me) for it to actually work.
I have a Revell model kit of a '66 Galaxie 500 that I need to put together and display in my package tray. Most will probably never notice the tail light difference between the 65 & 66.
Mine is a 66 and the model is a 65, the 64 thru 66 was basically the same truck except fender badge shape.
From 60 thru 66 GM changed badge shape and location for every year.
Very helpful for dating a truck but not for cloning one.
The 65 fender badge was a long rectangle, the 66 was more square with the bow tie on top.
