You’re guaranteed to have a blast with a weekend of incredible driving and we can't wait to see the results! See attachment for full contest rules,
That's a tough one, Torino. I've always liked the, "If it doesn't have a motor and can't kill you, it isn't a sport." tee shirt, but I'm not sure I figured on being in a target rich environment. I suppose I could rent a Ryder truck. Wonder if they have any used dump trucks w/wing plows available?
i'm tired and hungry and have nothing clever to say ( in reality i never do but keep it under your hat ) if you get a moment look up the farside " bummer of a birthmark bill" better than anything i can think of now.
(ps ) it might be bob. and my favorite tee shirt is ' dan gurney for president' but we 'll have to change that to ' parnelli jones for president' i don't think dan would mind.
julie- remember to- change- that -air- filter. or wash out your k&n . bummer that portland has gotten such a bad reputation. people see one isolated spot in a city on the news and assume the whole place is overwhelmed by evil mobs of wrong doers. i lived in alphabet city on the lower east side when it 'was' alphabet city. i was fine.( actually liked it more than now since it's been "sterilized for your protection" and a beer costs $27.) a two minute walk and i was in gramercy park, nice pretty and.... kinda dull -have fun be well.
I was there a couple years ago. Tent villages everywhere, every wooden pole looked like a furry porcupine from years of stapled flyers, it stunk, micro-villages of tents along many streets, and most locals looked like they were on-leave from a circus....and that was in the tourist areas. My impression fits what I’ve seen in the news.
And fortunately we uber’d. I wouldn’t drive the area on a bet. Who needs a windshield cleaned that often?
different vibe. either you get it or you don't. i'm looking to move to south philly soon.it's not a soft comfortable place to land but interesting. "every day is Wednesday " (mickey mouse club , anybody ?) the square peg in a round hole crowd. the creative freaks who are looking to live cheap. not being critical. to each their own.
and they've been feeding people that same bs how long now.....? by the way a rationalization based on reason, observation and experience. - " when you were young and your heart was an open book.....you know you did ...you know you did...you did....
(ps) i live in jersey. we're one of 6-7 states that pay more in to the fed. then we get back out. like ny, conn. ca. meanwhile kentucky ( 4 e.g. ) typically gets at least two bucks back 4 every buck they put in. you think they'd at least send us here a thank you card. rationalization? how about basic math? run the numbers.
No, a rationalization is a defense mechanism to avoid an uncomfortable truth....which is that Portland, among many others, is a unmitigated mess.
And where you live and what residents elsewhere (by your calculation) pay in taxes, nor quoting lyrics from an obscure 45+ year old song has nothing to do with that “mess”. That’s called deflection. 🤨
okay. then when should everyone evacuate? run for your lives! got a date for me? and are they gonna leave the deep roast behind? i haven't had a cup of jamaican blue mountain in years. i'll run the gamut.
I thought this was a joke at first...but you’re really serious!
May I suggest a race helmet, locked doors and maybe look for an app that shows anarchist roadblocks in real-time to get to those “Portland icons”.
Maybe combine it with the first, "Portlandia Ride & Seek Dance Competition?" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_TYg0J8hsPY
