Technically it started with me lusting after the Tamiya King Cab sitting on the top shelf of a hobby shop, but even when I managed to get one years later, I never actually had any plans to get a real one.
Long story short, I found it in Nashville, while casually searching the web, which since I'm in Canada, necessitated a road trip. It was nearly complete (had all the important accessories save the tailgate net) but had been sitting for at least 6 years and the engine was dead and a mystery.
I've been hacking away at it since 2018, and I'm very close to getting it on the road. (I have to weigh it and safety it)
