Invention is the child of necessity — or something like that, right? Say it’s oil change time, you’ve bought few quarts of oil and have that clean new filter still bouncing around in its delicate square box when you realize that the plastic drain pan you just slid underneath the oil pan has a crack in it. A simple solution is probably right in your garage.

Love the drain pan tip. My actual drain pans are never around when I need them (usually hiding under another car to catch leaking fluids). But that won't be a problem anymore.
Making funnels from the quart-size bottles might not always work, if the bottle's neck is too wide for the oil-fill opening.
If that's the case, try empty dish detergent or shampoo bottles. Empty spray-cleaner ones too.
