Wrenchin' Wednesday: Custom-made bezel-removal socket | Hagerty Media

Sometimes you look at a part and wonder just how in the heck they attached it at the factory. The OEMs have their tricks and teases for assembling things as seamlessly as they could, often times with one-off tools at each step of the way to speed up the assembly process.

Also: Occasional Bezel would make a pretty good band name.

Anybody ever heard of needlenose pliers? A single pair can remove 98 percent of all the bezels ever made.

A custom tool is always slick but I could probably do just as well with a pin spanner. The Park Tool one at the bicycle shop are cheap enough and I already have one ground down into a Bontrager hub lock ring tool.
