The world’s biggest classic motor racing festival may be cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but the Silverstone Classic car auction continues live online. Enthusiasts from around the world will be able to bid for an incredible selection of vehicles on Friday, July 31 and Saturday, August 1.

E-types were my childhood fantasies. In my teens I saw an XK-120 and started saving my pennies. Dream on! Looking at these choices, I fell in love with the Alfa. That is something I've never said before.

Early Jags are escalating in value as collectors value their racing pedigree and rarity. Only a few thousand of the 1950's XK models were ever produced and very few with the C Type racing modifications compared to the much larger production numbers for the E Types of the 1960's.

The Citroën D21 convertible and the LM002 would be the dream pairing. Also, no one would ever expect you to own both. Keep 'em on their toes ...
