Easy solution I’ve used for years, I have a snap on , mid rise lift , I put a 6 ton heavy duty jack under the center cross beam and slowly lower car on jack , mid rise will not go any lower, I feel very safe , thats the same point where the hydraulic cylinder is mounted, I have a single cylinder, but I’m sure it will work the same with a double cylinder
