The Bulldog, Aston's flight of fancy, is back and aiming for 200 mph

Richard Gauntlett is standing on the blustery deck of a Royal Navy aircraft carrier, looking slightly misty-eyed at a childhood dream that has finally become reality. What Gauntlett and an assembled crowd of media and Navy crew are staring at is the Aston Martin Bulldog, an incredible concept that vanished under his father Victor's chairmanship of the British sports car maker.

I own a 1982 DeLorean DMC-12 and this puppy looks like they were fathered by the same dad. (Except for the rather odd headlights). The Gull Wing doors on both cars are unusual and I actually like them on any car I see them on. However, this car is a bit bigger and doors are cut deeper than the DeLorean. Also, the Delorean is way "under" powered compared to this vehicle and could never come close to 200 mph.
When the DMC-12 came out, it was widely regarded as the next new "hot" thing. But the sales staggered and eventually the company folded (After John D. was arrested under cocaine charges that were later dropped). The Bulldog never made it out of the gate. Pity, because it looks like it might have been an interesting car to own.

I also owned a DeLorean. It was a fun car, but yes it lacked power. A few points though:

DMC-12 was the pre-production name. It was never sold as the DMC-12. That’s why you won’t find DMC-12 anywhere on the car, the owners manual, the certificate of origin, nor any official advertising once the car was in production. All documents (again, AFTER production started) simply refer to the car as the DeLorean. 

The charges against John weren’t dropped. He was found not guilty. It was proven that the FBI entrapped him.

with those deep-cut doors and the amount of glass, I just can't see that car being structurally sound enough for 200 mph... but I guess if they have already had it up to 192 what do I know
