A friend of mine did very well in the “electronics” business and while he lived very well he spent an inordinate amount of money in buying Hi-end cars of the 1990’s and early 2,000’s… He would buy a new car every six months or so , always wanting the newest Porsche Turbo, He had at least 10 between 1996-2010 , 3-4 AMG Mercedes , A Ford GT , 4 Bentley’s and other great cars… one time he had a Bentley GT , Porsche Turbo and an Z-8 in his garage… He decided that we should go for a “ride” where each of us would drive a separate car… He chose the Turbo (Black/black so I settled for the Z8 silver/black… It was a very late night in northern New Jersey when we started racing thru the local roads , State Highways & a scenic Highway (PIP) located in the area.. reaching speeds of up to 120mph and passing each other on less than safe conditions for about 30 minutes…Yes it was dangerous and totally illegal and if caught we probably could have gone to jail , lost our licenses and paid thousands in fines and insurance surcharges but we had a ball and if I had the opportunity I’d do it again in a second…My friend and I had many hi speed tours , He also had a rare White/LBlue 308 Spyder but we never squared off against each other as we did that one night…
