Had a '72 Elkhart green one with T-tops. Wish I still did!

Just bought a 1972 Corvette. How do you trace it's history? I have the window sticker of where it was bought. What site would I go to and find out more information on the vin number and original paint color. The car has the original block (I've been told) but not the original heads or intake. The mechanic I deal with seems to be a square shooter and says the car is in really nice shape. Any help on updating the info on the car now tracing back to it's owners would be appreciated. Thanks, Jim Phoenix Arizona

This will be a good place to start: http://corvettec3.ca/vin.htm

If you want to know more, maybe the National Corvette Museum have more information about each vehicle made!
