Beautiful. The short-window years are the best-proportioned ones, IMO.

My soul burns every time I see one of these. Will I own a Datsun roadster? Probably not. Would I love to? Absolutely.

'64 and '65 US market roadsters had a 3 main bearing 1500 push rod engine and a 4 speed with a non-syncro 1st. They had a sideways jump seat behind the buckets through sometime mid '65, and the front fender wheel opening was smaller, allowing the side molding to carry all the way forward.

Who knows these obscure facts about an obscure car? Probably only a guy who owned one, in my case a late '65 purchased in 1977 as a kid. Fun cars!
