This is one of the few cars from Japan that justifies the money. It is good looking and historic. It is a true rare car unlike the many 1 of 5000 claimed rare. 

The Brock and Shelby connection is also key.

The 2 convertibles are the real treasures. The Bond car is the bestie have.

I have seen two 2000GT's in person. One in white like above and it was gorgeous. The other one was in red. Such a beautiful and amazing car. I'll only own a 1:18 scale model of one of these cars.

While the 2000GT may have been superior to any contemporary Porsche short of a 911R, the Toyota is commanding some serious coin for a car with a small interior and a pretty ordinary performance envelope. Maybe I'd feel differently were I short.

A jewel of unappreciated greatness, from an era when well heeled Americans able to afford such a car would have turned up their noses. Now only the trust-fund elite with a penchant for the unusual and unlimited wealth can afford one. Irony anyone?
