Japan's most expensive motorcycle has "only" 100 hp

Motorcycles enjoy more lenient legislation than automobiles do, and thus wild motorcycles slip from the factory into customer hands more often than crazy cars do. One such example is the Honda RC213V, but you have to be in the know to understand why.

I was thrilled to see another one of these come up for auction! Especially as the acceptance of sport bikes as collectibles is joining the main stream collector world. No need for chrome and exposed engines any more...

And for the less well-healed who intend to ride Honda made the lovely VFR from about 1990 - 2006. (~750 cc V4). The later models had about 115HP. For the more enthusiastic look at the the V twin RC51. If you're a novice looking for a sport bike (or too short for the others) look at the 1988 - 1990 VTR 250 cc V twin. These little bikes are huge fun!

As a devout Ducatisti; I will always think the Desmosedici the better choice. Not even close.

That bike looks nice. I'd want to uncork it but then again maybe I would leave it alone.
