How Lewis Hamilton's $6.6M McLaren ranks against the most expensive F1 cars | Hagerty Media

The 2021 British Grand Prix will surely go down as an unmemorable affair with no incidents of note whatsoever, so it's just as well RM Sotheby's was able to put on a show with the sale of Lewis Hamilton's 2010 Turkish Grand Prix-winning McLaren MP4-25A.

Too bad McLaren's fortune is at the point where it's selling off its history.

Maybe they were just embarrassed about Hamilton's psychopathic behavior and driving last weekend.

So much doom and gloom...

Do you think that this McLaren is the only one in the factory's collection? Considering McLaren's history of winning F1s, the museum must be full of obsolete F1 cars, including duplicates, test mules and spares. Why not let someone else have one?
Do you really think that McLaren sold for money? Of course they did. They got $6m for the car. And they got it for essentially nothing, as they have another (or maybe 3) in the back... But, you know, $6M is nothing when McLaren is developing an entirely new F1 car for next season. But every bit helps.

"The 2021 British Grand Prix will surely go down as an unmemorable affair with no incidents of note whatsoever," Obviously Antony Ingram hasn't a clue.

Sarcasm perhaps?
