Good news for land speed racers: Bonneville is ON!

The Southern California Timing Association (SCTA) has confirmed that Speed Week 2020 is green-lit for August 8–14. The news is a welcome reassurance among land speed racers, as motorsports events across the country have been canceled or rescheduled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Awesome. I was there last year and three solid, enjoyable days were spent on the salt with my father and brother. It's a treasure.

GREAT NEWS!! Pretty easy to be "socially distant" on The Salt....Very pleased that the money came loose to help rejuvenate The Salt.  As a many-year competitor I sent letters to everyone in that regard. It's gratifying that the "Save The Salt" program bore some success! Awesome, it's a start.
