Ferrari has lost a legal battle to trademark the shape of its legendary 250 GTO to Italian car atelier Ares Design. The move overrules an Italian court judgement that protected the GTO as a work of art.
Ares Design is best known for its Panther Progettouno, a DeTomaso Pantera recreation, based on Lamborghini underpinnings. Now, with this landmark ruling, Ares can turn its hand to re-imagining the most expensive car in the world.

Is it just me, or does the proposed car look far more like a Shelby Series 1 than a Ferrari?
It looks like a Series 1 and a '96 Viper coupe had a one night stand and this is the result.
If they had any decency, they would call it a new name, and not try to ride on the coattails of Ferrari. Intellectual property rights, trademarks, patents, and names should be protected, and people/companies who use them should be punished, not rewarded.
