Corvette pulls out of 2020 24 Hours of Le Mans due to COVID-19 uncertainty

Corvette Racing is withdrawing the new C8.R from this year's 24 Hours of Le Mans, citing concerns over COVID-19 and logistical challenges presented by the rescheduling of the iconic endurance race. The news broke after Porsche announced a similar move with its 911 RSRs last week. Corvette's exit leaves only Aston Martin and Ferrari among the original, factory-backed GTE Pro entries.

I'm certain COVID-19 gave the C8 team an easy out judging by the new Vette's weak performance at 24 hrs Daytona

My thoughts exactly!  I call BS on this excuse too.  As much as they have been marketing that car to anyone who will listen, if the car stood any chance at LeMans, they'd move heaven and earth to be there.  LeMans is an endurance race.  My bet is, C8 can't cut the mustard!
