BMW cannonballs into the retro pool with the R 18

Retro design has been an growing trend among motorcycles and cars alike, but some brands have embraced the approach far more than others. BMW has erred on the conservative side of this phenomenon, until now. Wow, I have to get this bike...but almost $20k!

Not cheap, but not too bad when it is up against a Harley Davidson Deluxe which starts at $18,399. This Beemer has a lot more tech wrapped in for only being $1600 more (and that is for the First Edition which has a little more flair. the true base is actually cheaper!)

Why do people need to memory hole anything that doesn't fit the current marketing narrative? BMW failed big and proud selling the R1200C Cruiser in 1999. Cruiser was right there in the model name.
