I still have my 65 fastback, 225 HP and I ran it "strictly stock" at Atco Dragway in NJ in the 60s. It turned a consistent 15 sec time, best 14.97. Best speed was 97 MPH . I was surprised to see the 14.7 time for the 271, as I usually beat them. Maybe the ones I ran against did not shift as good as the one doing 14.7? Member, Mid Florida Mustang Club.
