1975 Chevrolet C20 Scottsdale Camper Special: Super Square Body

It seems that the so-called "Square Body" GM pickups have been gaining more and more interest from collectors. This makes me happy, as I always liked them. It seemed they were on the road for my entire childhood. And for a long time they were cheap wheels.

Gotta love Midwest 3/4 and 1 ton trucks. Many were sold new without rear bumpers because the farmer would install his own favorite style.

Good to see one that didn’t succumb to rust. Here in the Chicago area they rusted pretty quick. Once the cab rusted at the rear corner supports they were pretty much goners. Really a shame, as in typical Chevy fashion they’d run forever.

My first vehicle was my dad's 1973 GMC 1500 with a 454. Would run over 140 mph and 110 in 1/4 mile in around 13.7 seconds. Was a great ride drag races before school and on the weekends. Loved that truck.
