My dad, John Klockau, is the reason I'm a car nut, and indirectly responsible for this column today. We've always liked cars. The whole family. Dad's first car was a 1965 Mustang convertible. Sure, it had the six cylinder, but it was red!

When I was a kid, I always wondered what the big deal was with the Porsche 911 and 356 sports cars. Little engines, ugly shapes...... But I read a magazine article about how Robert Redford always bought his 911's in Omaha so he would have a long drive back to LA and started to get it when a friend got a Datsun Roadster and I got to drive it one day. Even without a lot of power, a small sportscar is a ton of fun to drive, especially a convertible. I've never owned a Porsche, but maybe someday...

Upside-down bathtubs are amongst my favorites. And this blue one is outrageously nice. I'm tre jealous 🙂
