1941 Chevy. Mostly original except color and the 216 replaced with a 235. Coolest thing is the gas ration sticker in the back window.

I ordered my 1985 F-150 flareside new from Ford with all of my savings (and a graduation gift from mom & dad) in Phoenix, AZ, and it’s been in the family ever since. Now with 159k on the odometer and living with us in the Pacific Northwest, it continues to run strong and garner more compliments than ever.

Over the last few years, I’ve replaced the suspension, the wood bed (tough job, but worth it!), and rebuilt the 351 Windsor motor (bored out to 359 now) with new exhaust, along with some paint work. My youngest daughter made me so happy when she declared that she wants it when I’m done with it... the legacy continues!

Mostly original truck bought by my dad in 1981.  He drove it "as-is" for 35 years until we completed a full restoration in 2016.

This truck was originally purchased in 1970 in Colorado Springs, Colorado while I was serving in the U.S. Army. It was painted a dark green with a brush!

This is the second paint job since, and it has had the original 216 engine rebuilt for the second time as well.

It's been used for camping when our children were young. It was our second vehicle for many years and now it's our fun cruiser.

The wood headliner is a new addition, since I've always wanted a Woody!

This truck is special to me because it was manufactured by the D.F. Poyer Company of Menominee, Michigan (established in 1909). D.F. Poyer was my great-grandfather. This truck is 1 of 6 known to still exist. "The Menominee" as it was marketed in the day has an open cab and stake bed with a capacity of 1500 lbs.

This Model E features:

  • Stromberg Carburetor with Hot Air Tube
  • Continental 4-Cylinder Motor -  25 HP
  • Bosch High-Tension Magneto
  • Brown-Lipe Multiple Dry Disc Clutch
  • Brown-Lipe Sliding Gear Transmission
  • Timpken Full-Floating Helical Gear Rear Axle
  • Titanic Springs
  • Pneumatic Tires
  • Exclusive Patented Radiator Shock Absorbers - Found Only on Menominee Trucks (pat. by G.A. Lindstrom). These isolate the radiator from the frame to reduce vibration.
