1949 Studevette .. LT1, TH400, PS, 4w-Disc, Meyer Racing Suspension
"Nightwind" 1969 Corvette coupe in St Petersburg, Florida.
This is the first car I ever purchased "new", ordered from the factory with a 390 HP 427 engine and 4-speed. I designed all changes and performed most of them myself, including the bodywork. It is now powered by an all-aluminum 479 CID supercharged and fuel injected big block, backed by a Richmond 6-speed manual trans.
1930 Ford Model A Tudor, Puget Sound Area, WA
This is a 1968 Mustang Fastback GT. It is special to me for a couple of reasons: my wife graduated high school in 1968 and always wanted this car and secondly my cousin collected cars and had 8 68’s. Unfortunately he suffered a massive stroke and his sister had to sell off the Cars to pay the bills. These cars were in various stages of repair. The one I bought was a project car and needed quite a bit of love. It has taken me over 4 years and a fair amount of money, but it’s been fun.

Great story and a beautiful car, Mike. I’m looking forward to seeing on the road here in the valley once the weather warms up.

I am currently working on a 1951 Chevy Fleetline, in Haslet, TX. The car originally belonged to my dad, who passed away in 1996. He grew up in the ‘50’s and ‘60’s and loved customs. He started building the car as a mild custom. He gave me the car before he passed away. It has been many years now, but I am finally close to finishing all the custom touches before it gets paint. Some of the modifications: chopped top, shaved door handle, shaved trunk, 2 piece hood welded together, frenched lights, frenched lake pipes, hopped up 235 w/ 5-speed transmission.
This is my 1962 Buick Electra 225. It has the original 401 NailHead engine and auto. transmission with only 53,557 miles. It's been lowered 2" and rides on 17x7 and 18x8 Coy's wheels. This car has every option that Buick offered including : A/C, Power windows, 6- way power seat, rear defrost, power trunk, wonder bar radio, tissue box, etc. She rides like a dream down the road. Thanks for looking.

This is a car I built from scratch. I built the frame and rear suspension, and I built the body from fiberglass after I made a full size plaster model. It has a Chevy LT-1 engine, and some other GM parts, and a few Chrysler parts, but mostly I made it myself.
1977 New Yorker Brougham, 400 CID survivor car, all original, 41000 original miles. Owned by Ken Tolksdorf, bought as a Father’s Day present from wife.
This 1963 1/2 Ford Galaxie 500 XL is my first car which I've owned here in WI since 1972. In 1974, we painted it black and added the flames which were inspired by the movie "The California Kid". It has a 390 and 4-speed from the factory. I am currently restoring the car back to the way it was originally made by Ford on February 13, 1963.
1965 KELLISON J5
Fiberglass body with a custom tube frame and C4 Corvette suspension. It has a LS1 and 6 speed and weighs about 2500 lb. It is in Tucson AZ where I built it over 20 yrs. I did all the work myself including building the frame. Only the interior finishing and the paint were done by someone else. I would have painted it also since I have painted about 50 vehicles but now that we are retired I have better things to do with play time.
We already have over 2000 mi. on it and drive it whenever we can while home.
The best time so far at the drags was 12.8 sec.
This is my second Kellison J5. I built my first when I was 18 in Waterbury Ct in 1966-1967. It was the only car I was really sorry that I sold.
I literally bought this one in a barn. At least 2 previous owners gave up on it. See the last picture that shows how it looked when I bought the body.
For those that wonder about the wheels--- I wanted the build to reflect what it could have been in the 60's and it should have had wire wheels but I really liked these 'Vette wheels so I deviated a little. I also widened the front and rear fenders to fit the C4 suspension a little because I didn't want the fender flares that are usually added to this model with that suspension.
ENJOY
My first J5 built in 1966 - 1967

My 16 yr old son is building his version of a hot rod. He has a 1986 BMW 325 coupe that he is dropping an EFI Ford 5.0. So far things are going smooth. I can't wait to see it run.
